Anthony Carabache is my colleague and he is very innovative and forward in his thinking. His blog has some great ideas for all of us to consider and discuss.
Mario Addesa started his teaching in Section 20’s TRE-ADD program. This program supported children with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder. He then became an Autism Support Teacher. Mario then became the board’s Assistive Technology In-Service Teacher. He now works with the 21 Century learning team. He has also served on government committees with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Child and Youth Services.
He often lectures on 21st Century learning and has been a keynote speaker on the subject. He also presents at conferences, workshops, Universities and other school boards. He is a strong advocate for the use of twitter as a professional and personal learning network. He has organized an EdCamp for TCDSB and has co-organized EdCamp Toronto. He also teaches AQ Courses in particular Special Education and Integration of Information and Computer Technology.
Besides his passion for his family, his wife and three daughters, Mario is a strong advocate for the use of technology for all students. He also advocates support for teachers to enhance their teaching practice within their 21st Century classrooms.
Mario has a Masters degree and a degree in Early Childhood Education.
